APPROXIMATELY 300 NM EAST-SOUTHEAST OF THE ISLAND OF POHNPEI. ANIMATED
MULTISPECTRAL IMAGERY INDICATES CYCLING DEEP CONVECTION ASSOCIATED WITH A
WEAK LOW LEVEL CIRCULATION CENTER. THE 200 MB ANALYSIS INDICATES GOOD
DIFFLUENCE ALOFT AND MODERATE VERTICAL WIND SHEAR ASSOCIATED WITH AN UPPER
LEVEL RIDGE EXTENDING ALONG 12.0N3. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE ESTIMATED
AT 15 TO 20 KNOTS. MINUMUM SEA LEVEL PRESSURE IS ESTIMATED TO BE NEAR 1006
MB. THE POTENTIAL FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SIGNIFICANT TROPICAL CYCLONE
WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS IS

indicates cycling deep convection associated with a week low level
circuration center.The 200mb analysis indicates good diffluence aloft and
moderate vertical wind shear associated with an upper level ridge extending
along 12.0N.maximum sustained winds are estimated at 15 to 20
knots.Minumum sea level pressure is estimated to be near 1006mb.The
potential for the development of a significant tropical cyclone within the
next 24 hours is
